Congratulations to Jonathan Dove for his community opera "Uprising" which has just won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Community and Participation Composition (in association with the ABRSM).

This community opera was jointly commissioned by the Saffron Hall Trust and Glyndbourne. The adult choir for the Saffron Hall performances was trained by Quintin Beer and a number of Saffron Walden Choral Society members took part. The performances received fantastic feedback from audiences and made everyone think about young people and climate change.
